I wanted to reach out to you and commend you for a stellar product! I purchased the Mini Diktator over a year ago and it has easily tripled my production. The only thing that I would venture to ask for in future models would be a longer travel in the hydraulic arm, simply because I use a variety of belts (some that stretch more than others), and need to adjust the tension often.
Great fit and finish. The set screws included are a little bit too short but it’s nice that they are included.

I use this daily. I absolutely love it. I did add a different mount bolt for blade changes to make it easier on my hands.

I recently bought the mini diktator for knife making an f 1 hp motor with VFD. After running this motor I found out that 1 hp motor with VFD wasn't powerful enough to do what I needed it to do, so I sent it back purchased their 2 hp motor with VFD. This motor and VFD combo was the perfect combo for knife making. During the exchange process diktator customer service was great. Their turn around time receiving and turning around to get me my new motor and VFD combo was fast. What I also like is that they carry all the accessories that I need for my belt grinder, so I will definitely be buying from them in the near future. Again great and fast customer service. You won't go wrong from buying from them.

This additional platen to the ceramic glass i have now i can use leather as a backing for softer grinds for my finishwork on knives made a big difference

Bought to use for the large table. If your going to put it in the bottom tube on the Toobinator, be aware that the bottom tube is about 1.5" shorter than the top tube. This arm is made to work for either, so you may need to cut or sand some off it you want the table to be just off the platten.

I have been using the Max for 4 months now and it is amazing. With the toobinator next to it with additional jigs, I have cut my work time down dramatically. I also have your surface grinder that I bought for the Toobinator a couple of year back. The surface grinder on the Max in the horizontal position is much nicer to use and easier for an old guy like me. I have been woodworking my whole life, blacksmithing for 25 years and bladesmithing for the last six or so. Your Max is probably the nicest piece of shop machinery I have ever owned. I am looking forward to what you come out with next.

I ordered the contact wheel and tooling arm together. It would have been helpful to have the assembly drawing included. Especially since there was a missing lock nut. An easy fix, it is a solid wheel, very well made.

This grinder is a fantastic piece of shop equipment. It’s well built with rugged 1/4 inch plate. Quality fasteners all around. A big plus for the gas tensioner arm very nice touch. Makes for quick belt changes and constant pressure. The tracking controls are very sensitive and responsive. Everything lined up and was easy to assemble. I really liked having to assemble the machine as well. It gives you a solid knowledge of the machine right out the gate. I can’t wait to start getting different accessories for it to make this machine even better. I’ve used a couple of other American made modern belt grinders in this vein and it’s by far the best. I can’t recommend this enough. Thank you for making a stellar product.

I bought this without the motor or VFD so I can’t give a true rating yet. That said, this thing is beefy. Goes together very easy and seems to be solid. Once I’m able to purchase the motor and put it through its paces I’ll give a better review.

perfect size for my Beveling Jig. However, IMHO you should get or make an extra steel tooling arm! Using the single arm really cuts down on what you can do and limits size of platen. The extra arm will allow for fast setting up and removing to just make life a little easier. BTW, I just addressed this issue and have a new arm on the way.

It was very easy to get installed and adjusted to run true. I wish the instructions were a little more detailed or a video on setting up the Das Toobinator.

Exactly what I purchased and went together smoothly nicely. You have to fit all a little bit with the belt guide. But is a great offer for the money and would do it again.

Tooling arm was great the xs grinder package was packed very well with all need components. I did find however that the drive pully and idler pullys lined up fairly well with a strait edge but tracking wheel was about a 1/4 off in line up with strait edge I did do some shimming to get a more suitable line up with all pullys now it tracks very well before it didn't because tracking wheel was out of alignment. Now that it's fixed it runs and functions superbly I'm very glad I made this purchase and will be doing more business with this company.
