Warning
Electric Shock Can Kill! All electrical work should be performed by a qualified electrician.
110volt vs 220volts
If you ordered a VFD it would be wired for either 110 volts or 220 volts based on what you selected when you purchased it.
- The 110-volt unit will be shipped with a plug already connected
- The 220-volt unit will be shipped with bare wires, you will have to supply your own plug to match your receptacle
Use the wiring diagram below to connect the White and Black wires (coming out of the VFD) to your receptacle. The White wire goes to line 1 and the Black wire goes to line 2. Make sure you get 220 volts if you measure between line 1 and line 2.
3 Phase Electric Motor
The VFD should not be connected to 3 phase electrical circuit event though the motor is a 3 phase motor. The VFD will convert the 2 line circuit into a 3 phase (3 line) circuit.
