Diktator Electric Motors Drive Shaft Size

All of our electric motor packages — whether they include a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) or not — come standard with a 5/8-inch diameter keyed drive shaft. This sizing is widely used and compatible with most belt grinder drive wheels, including all the wheels we offer here at Diktator Grinders.

Why the 5/8" Shaft Size Matters
Standard Compatibility: A 5/8" shaft is the industry standard for most 2x72 belt grinders, ensuring that our motors are plug-and-play with our own components and accessories.

Secure Fit: The shaft is keyed, which means it includes a machined flat section that allows a drive wheel with a matching keyway to lock into place securely using a set screw or key.

Upgrade Flexibility: If you're upgrading from a motor with a different shaft size, simply replace your current drive wheel with one of our 5/8" bore drive wheels for seamless integration.
