How the Electric Motor Mounts to Your Grinder

Updated on Apr 24, 2025

All Diktator electric motor packages include both a foot plate and a 56C face flange, giving you flexibility in how you mount your motor depending on your grinder model. Proper motor alignment is critical for smooth operation and belt tracking, and we’ve designed our chassis to make this process straightforward and precise.

Mounting Options by Grinder Model
Here’s a quick guide to the best mounting method for each of our 2x72 belt grinder chassis:

Diktator XS or MAX – Foot Plate Mount

Mini Diktator – 56C Flange Mount

Das Toobinator – Foot Plate Mount

Bandit DiY – 56C Flange Mount

Using the correct mount ensures your drive wheel is perfectly aligned with your belt path for optimal performance and belt tracking.

Use Our Pre-Drilled Base Plate
To make installation even easier, we offer an optional steel base plate with pre-drilled holes for both the grinder chassis and motor. This guarantees perfect alignment every time and removes the guesswork of manual measuring and drilling.
